Hi,
I have an apple IIe and want to program in assembler. I have only had
success programming in the monitor mode, can't seem to get merlin to
work properly, and I dont have any other assembler (can anyone suggest
where to get one easily - ie in .DSK format - cant find any on asimov)?
The main purpose of this email however is to ask about a good book for
learning 6502 assembler. I'm new to assembly in every sense, so I'd
appreicate a slightly easier book, but I guess it's not too necessary -
as long as it shows me how to do it.
I have seen "6502 Assembly Language Subroutines" by Leventhall and
Saville on amazon for around 16 ($20 ish dollars), inc delivery from US.
It looks reasonable and has had other reccomendations on the web, but
I'd rather hear it from a hard-core source, because $20 is a lot to
shell out for an old small tatty book. Let me know if you have any
reccomendations I should scout out!
Thanks in advance,
Alistair Ross
