I have placed my original 1993 BBS online. This is what it looked like when
I archived it back in 1993. Thanks to Mr. Brad for still having a copy of
the archive. Logon, sign up, & read all the old posts...some might find it
interesting. I'm using the serial to ethernet converter box I got, so
you'll have to follow these instructions:
1. telnet to: boycot.no-ip.com port 9999 telnet:boycot.no-ip.com:9999
2. press 9<cr> to activate the bbs. You might have to do this a couple
times.
3. Sign up for a new account...
4. It'll say your account will be validated in a day or two, but you can
still log on immediately.
5. Terminate normally (Use the "Terminate" command on the menu) and then
kill your Telnet client. The BBS doesn't know when you've hung up unless
you tell it using the "Terminate" command.
I'll be working on getting it set up with a router...unless the Moxa company
tells me how to make it work correctly with their box. There are a lot of
games & other programs in the game section. If you have a way to telnet on
to this using a real Apple II, I strongly suggest doing it that way. The
PSE is great!
Let me know how it works.
