Downloading software for Apple II?

Talk about a blast from the past, I just got my hands on my cousin's old 
Apple IIgs.  Problem is about the only piece of software I have for it 
is an educational game called Reader Rabbit.

All my other machines are PCs.  I know that I can download software for 
the GS as disk images, but how can I get them onto media that the Apple 
can read?

I'm sure this question has been asked before, so if there is such a 
thing, maybe the best thing would be a pointer to a FAQ page.
