That's a popular misconception probably started by a disgruntled Doom 3 for
CP/M developer - it was actually ported from two other very capable Texas
Instruments platforms, the Speak 'n Spell and TI SR50 calculator.

It's a cool hack, the SR50 provides the raw calc power to handle the intense
2D graphics, and the Speak 'n Spell cranks out the amazing sound effects.
I've seen an early gamma of the game and it rocks - pure adrenaline!
