Yah, Wayne's got a good point - the UDC came in a couple of different
versions, each with their odd little glitches and gotchas. I'm also of the
opinion that the "superdrive" controller is more readily available than a
UDC - you just have to be patient and look. If you just want to use UniDisk
3.5 drives, the Liron controller isn't that rare either.

The only reason I can think of someone using a UDC on a IIe is if it's
unenhanced... is that it why? Curious minds want to know. =)
