If it didn't work with a PC power supply, then it's unlikely to
work with another //e power supply. ;-)
Sounds like you have a problem on the board.
You will need to get a good configuration--good board and
good power supply--working again, so you have known-good
subsystems to swap.
It is unlikely, but not impossible, that the power supply failed
in a way that can damage the main board, so that cannot be
ruled out yet.
