Hi,
I ran into this problem, many years ago. This was on a joystick
whose buttons sometimes worked. There was no definite click of the
button or micro switch. Upon opening the joystick up, (detacthed from
the computer) I lifted the top part off. Both button had a small round
grove worn into them where the springs came to rest on them. Both
buttons/switches would click if I used my fingers on them. The little
ring worn into the bottom of the 2 orange buttons from the spring was
the problem. Not enough pressure from the spring to overcome the one
inside the switches. A quick and easy solution was to build up the
bottom surface, A drop or 2 of super glue or finger nail polish, let
dry and reassemble. I do not advocate streching the spring.
Hope this works, for you.
Take Care,
