I did that, and now I can only boot to the 5.25 in slot 6, no matter
whether I have a disk in slot 6, drive 1 or not. I guess the boot
seeks from slot 7 downwards, and I believe that's why I put the 3.5
controller in slot 7, so that if I wanted to boot from slot 6, I could
just leave the drives empty in slot 7 and it would fall back to slot
6. For some reason it doesn't fall back from the 5.25 controller in
slot 6 to the 3.5 controller in slot 5. (Did I confuse anyone yet?)
HOWEVER, on a whim, after booting a 5.25 prodos disk from slot 6, I
then did a PR#5 and got the 3.5 drive to boot, ran copyIIplus and
viola, it sees both sets of drives!
I'm guessing (and hoping) that the same trick might work with the 3.5
controller in slot 7, however, since I have it working and copying
files at the moment, I'll wait and post back my results later.
Thanks for nudging me down the right path (no pun intended, yeah).
