Images format problem

Hi, allways trying to save from dust some of my old floppies...

I use dsk2file and I discovered that the disks formatted by non standard 
dos (for example daviddos) cannot be read by dsk2file...

I've booted some of them, they works fine, so the media is allways usable 
but under dsk2file the only result is EEEEEEE : read errors


Is there any way to solve this problem ? Should I use another disk to file 
application ? Which one ?
