On Sourceforge You will find DOSBOX which runs fine on XP and the Bochs
machine
which can emulate a PC on many OSses. On that emulated PC You can easily
install any flavour of DOS You prefer. Both programs written by verry clever
people imho (no, I am not one of the, far from that, my admiration is
sincere).

P.S. And 4DOS is not a full DOS, it is a highly improved "command.com".
