My NEC Multisync 3D works fine both with my Amigas (500, 600) and with
my IIgs, using two self-made Adaptors. I'd guess that the 1084 should
work fine with a IIgs, too.

should give you enough information to build an adaptor and try it.
IIRC the IIgs ignores the sense pins; if it doesn't, google for "Löten
am Mac" for the correct diode connections.
