All the discussion lately about building a "super" Apple II has got me
thinking (sorry...)
It seems to me that many Apple II users (as opposed to _collectors_) are
quite willing to pay good money for "modest" enhancements to their
machines. I'm thinking specifically of the CFFA and Bill Garber's
RAM4GS... neither of which expands the computer beyond it's original
capabilities, but simply offers an alternative to paying big bucks on
eBay for the same functionality in a more collectible form.
With that in mind, here's a few suggestions for hardware folks who might
desperately need something to do:
- GS to Mac RGB monitor adaptor (old Mac monitors are readily
available and look much nicer than PC monitors)
- Superdrive controller card. Almost every junked Mac has a
perfectly good superdrive in it. A superdrive controller
would make the problem of file transfer almost non-existent.
