Accessible emulators for Linux or Windows?
Hi,
I am a blind person. The Apple II emulator I'm using is called A2. It was
written by Rich Skrenta back in 1990 I believe. The reason I can use it is
that it uses standard text, rather than a graffics library or something to
put the Apple text on the screen. It does have some disadvantages however,
not the least of which is that it only emulates an Apple II plus with 64K of
ram and of course, no 80-column card so any program that does a pr#3 bombs.
Other emulators E.G. the KEGS GS emulator, are unusable by me because they
use graffics rather than pure text to display the Apple output. Are there
any other emulators, either for Linux or Windows, which use a standard text
mechanism E.G. stdout, curses/ncurses, etc? KEGS sounds interesting because
it's a GS emulator but unfortunately it is totally unusable by me.
Thanks.
