Compact Flash card project for Apple II / IIGS

Hi Apply II community,

I am currently "in the mood" of starting a lttle HW project for the
Apple II. Many years back I almost finsihed a graphic card based on
the HD6xxxx processor for the II but never got finsihed.

How about a compact flash card interface for the II ? I know there is
an full blown IDE adapter available, but what the heck... Why not make
a little board which has space to plug in the CF directly and use it
as ProDOS og GS/OS HD ?

What do you think ? Anyone who would be interessted in such a goodie ?

I was wondering in I should design it for the "normal" slots or maybe
run it of the MemExp. (ROM access) of the IIGS ?
