: Hi Rob,
:
: Here is a link to a flashrom based disk-emulator card/programmer

I have one built. Actually, Vince Briel made a few prototypes and
gave one to me in trade for something else. I write my files to the
disk image using AppleWIN and burn it to the Flash Ram using the
programmer on my PC, then insert it into the card and pop it into
slot 2 of the Apple II and boot. Nice thing about my method is,
I can erase and reprogram the chip in a few minutes and see what
works and what doesn't. Also, when it does work, I can save the
image and burn it later. I've redesigned the PCB with jumpers so
that I can have 4 x 128K images on a 512K flash chip and set the
jumpers to the image I want to boot, or, you could use the address
lines to mod ProDOS to boot from the chip instead of DOS 3.3 !
I will be happy to pass along my 512K version of the PCB made in
ExpressPCB to someone who wants to work on a ProDOS version. :o)
Email me and I'll work on it with you. :o)
