interesting, thanks for the tip I need to keep my eyes open. Last
night I set up the 1084s next to my Apple //c system and plugged the
beast in. The picture was perfect. I must say the //c has great
composite output. One thing I noticed after juggling the computer
around was no picture!!! So I gently pulled the cable out slightly
and the pic appeared? Gave me a scare!! It seems if I push the cable
into the rca jack (on the //c) all the way- there is no pic but if it
is not pushed tight the picture is crystal clear (in both mono and
color). Is this normal?

I really need something besides the Apple 21 game that came with the
computer (btw that is one cheating game!). Im not sure how well a
null modem cable will work since my current pc is homemade with no
floppy, and it runs win xp. I really dont want to change the
configuration on it and there is no room for my //c in this room
anyway, so I am thinking maybe I should (1) try to buy a few games
(but there is no guarantee they will work and no way to back them up)
(2) build a pc out of some spare parts whose sole purpose will be to
connect to the Apple II and transfer games and I suppose I could make
a CDR with almost every game on it (this is a big pain in the ass) or
(3) find someone who I could pay to copy a few games for me?
