And I'm guessing that this is a 10ft-12ft cable, right?
At this length, a low-capacitance cable is a real asset (though, as
Ed pointed out, gold plating is "gilding the lily", particularly since
what it plugs into, at least on the Apple end, is just tinned. ;-).
