I would suggest getting an ethernet card for the LC550 and running
Localtalk Bridge on it... you can connect the GS to the serial port and
the LC550 to whatever w/ethernet. The GS should be able to see any
Appletalk server the LC550 is connected to via ethernet (or such has
been my experience).
