The other funny thing about that ebay auction, aside from
the "easy" to find interface card, is the fact that they mention
just how much these graphics tablets go for on ebay.
Quote: "These are very rare and sell for $80 to $165 on eBay."
Then, dear seller, why are you having to relist the auction with
a buy it now price of over half off the "low-end" of the market
for these graphics tablets on ebay?
Sadly, that auction is full of false information.
Prior to buying my AGT from Harry Dodsworth (Excellent Seller
by the way!) I was watching them like a hawk on ebay. One of
them that sold for the most, was from ebay seller "harper books"
(that ex-apple dealer estate sale) for around $80 US.
Other than that, mostly complete (functionally complete, shall we
say? As in inlcuding the easy to find interface card!) AGT's
go for around $35 US on ebay. Ask Exegete - he got a smokin'
deal on one a month or so ago.
Best of luck in your search for a Graphics Tablet, they are a fun
peripheral to have. Make sure you have PLENTY of desktop
real-estate to use one though, as they are pretty sizeable!
On a different note, anyone seen the "prototype Apple Lisa 1"
minus the faceplate and drives on ebay? - Arguably valuable,
minus all the IMPOSSIBLE to find stuff - Twiggy drives and
a Lisa 1 faceplate! :) Comments? Thoughts?
Later,
Craig
