Hmm, we had text files, but not much more than what you found on other bbs's
at the time. Keep in mind in the late 80's having like 40 meg dedicated to a
bbs was towards the top of the food chain. 80 megs, like what ripco had was
over the top.

Wouldn't exactly call it a database, we just didn't throw stuff out as often
because of disk space.

I'm not familar with that book so I can't answer, the only one (besides
online documents) that mentioned me or ripco was "the hackers crackdown" by
Bruce Sterling. Although I give him credit for the effort to bring things to
light, a lot of information in that book is inaccurate or enhanced a bit
from the truth. Good reading but I wouldn't make a documentary of it.
