Probably meant for a II or II+. If those chips are 2K then you only have a maximum of 16k so it wouldn't really be meant to be used as a RAMdisk but as a battery backed Language card. On a II+ you could load Integer basic onto it and leave it there. If you were using a lot of Integer basic programs it'd save you loading it every time you cold boot. The swiches were likely for configuring it for the amount of RAM on it. With 12k on it, you have exactly what you need to have to load Applesoft or integer basic onto it. A ROM card would be a bit easier but a ROM card used an extra slot and a lot of people back then used every slot and wished for more. Wayne
