Thanks for the responses. I just want to underline that the water was
`dirty water' - it was a sewer backup. Yes, diluted, due to copious
amounts of rainwater mixed in - but still; the fecal coliform count was
significantly greater than zero. It smelled. Bad. That is a good part
of why I'm not keeping the ][+ or the Cards within it. I just hate to see
the Cards go bye-bye, without checking to see if anyone is interested.
Pulled a IIe behind a boat? Sounds like alcohol was involved... :-)
I can't see re-wetting/washing the system, in hopes of cleaning it well
enough to be confident that no `dirt' remains in some nook/cranny, or
under some chip; to say nothin of the power-supply (as someone mentioned).
I've had a couple of responses indicating willingness to take the Cards -
I just want to make sure it's clearly understood that `shit happens' in
life - and it sure did in our basement, in July... :-(
