: Oops. Make that "too slow".

I would have agreed whole-heartedly with you, except for the
fact that the IIgs has the ability to shift down to meet the
speed of slower hardware. I'm not sure if it can do this with
ram, but then again, I'm not 100% knowledgeable. Who is??? :o)

Also, I didn't know anyone had made a 256k x 1 dram that slow.

All of my 256kx1 chips were "stolen" from PCs and ATs.

I have 200 ns, 150 ns, 80 ns, and 70 ns chips.

I used 200 ns chips in a RAMFactor card, and was wanting to use them in the IIgs One meg card. Since I didn't have enough 150s, I wanted to use the 200s if they would work. I went ahead and used 80s. I figured that if I REALLY needed 80s for another job, I'd swap them out at a later date.

My granddaughter lives with us, and she thinks it's fun to click PopPop's mice and smack his keyboards, and it's really fun to rename directories (and she can't even TALK!) so my son and I are going to give her a IIe or IIgs with a program that will make noises and cover the screen all in one color when she plays with the keys or mouse. The IIgs, of course, will give her more colors depending on what keys she hits.

Perhaps she'll leave my machines alone then??? Probably not!
