I'm not much of a game fan, so I have no real recommendations
there.

As far as applications, Appleworks is a great integrated
package.  I have a hard disk, and wouldn't be without
ProSel 8 for a selector and utilities package.  Copy II Plus
is great, too, especially if you want to look at DOS 3.3
disks while running ProDOS.

Without knowing your interests, it's hard to be specific.
