: Hi all,
:
: I have a //c without the regular power brick. I'm trying to run
it off
: a PC Peripheral power connector (5,25" floppy, HD). From it's
specs,
: the PC supply should yield 12V/3A.
: After consulting some sites, I think I have the connection on
the
: Apple side OK.
: When I switch on the machine, I get a green light for power,
the
: screen shows "Apple //c", the drive does it's headbanging
exercise and
: the red light comes on.
: Apart from that, nothing. I've tried different disks. The
keyboard is
: dead apart from the reset and drop into monitor commands.
: Now for the question (finally): Do you think the Apple is dead
or am I
: missing something with the power supply?
:
: Thanks in advance, Robert

Show us your pinouts. Also, the IIc requires 2 - input voltages.
Do you have the +12v wired twice into the IIc?
