A Spartan is an Apple II+ in a specially-made box which hooks up
to the rear ports of the C64. Using the C64 keyboard, you can run in
C64 mode or switch to Apple II+. You can use Apple II disk drives
with the Spartan, or with a special daughterboard inserted into the
1541, you can use the 1541 to use Commodore disks or Apple disks.
At last year's Vintage Computer Festival 6.0, we had a Spartan on
display at our table. I think Larry Anderson has VCF 6.0 photos of
Hans Franke trying to abscond the Spartan out of my hands. ;-) Go to
