Networking the IIgs

Does anyone know how to put a IIgs onto a network? I want to hook my
IIgs into my home network so I can access email, usenet, etc.
I could probably set one of my other computers up as a ppp server and
hook the IIgs modem up to the server modem in a null modem set-up or
something like that, but I was wondering if there was something else
like ethernet for IIgs or AppleTalk... I read something recently on
slashdot about a project like this.
