No replies necessary, but boy, am I a happy chappy tonight! My recently
acquired PSU-less ][europlus has just gotten its new (//e) PSU installed
and it's firing up and operational - yippee!
Just wanted to share the joy - a europlus was the first computer we had
at home in the early 80's, and since I got into the collecting scene
about a year ago I've been lamenting the dearth of these beasts on the
local market. I am trying to recreate my teenage experiences as much as
possible, and the //e, IIgs, IIe LC card and emulators just weren't
quite authentic enough - even with the fact I'd kept much of my software
and have now bought much of what I hadn't kept. I'm sure many here will
understand.
After harassing some europlus owners I found on the web, one of them
sold me his PSU-less europlus, and I just received my eBay-won //e PSU
(which wasn't guaranteed to work) - 5 minutes after getting to the
machine, the PSU was installed and I was able to check it out (had
already checked the machine was OK with my //e's power supply, but
wanted something permanent).
Apple ][ (europlus) for ever!
Sean
