Okay, just checked my parts box, and found a GS RAM Plus there. It's
not fully populated, but I'd like to understand it better before I go
buying chips for it.
Copyright date on it is 1988, and it has chips labelled GSPLD2A-I and
GSPLD1A-I. Now, if I understand correctly, the second chip means it's
for a Rom 01, right? Thing is, I want to put it in my Rom 03 GS. Where
would I get the right chip to put in so it will work?
I did do some digging on this card in Google, and found that it can be
upped to 6 Meg of RAM, but there's something about DMA and the kind of
hard drive I'm using. Currently, I have an Apple high speed SCSI card
for an external hard drive for it. Can anyone give me more on this? I
can tell you what kind of hard drive I have, if necessary. I'm hoping
to put in either a Focus hard drive or one of Bill's CFFA drives
eventually.
