Has anyone managed to connect a IIgs to the internet with Marinetti 3.0b1, a
Macintosh running MacIP (LocalTalk-Ethernet router IPNetRouter), and a cable
modem?
I cannot get DNS to work no matter what I do; I'm not convinced that it's
even sending packets out. Compared to most Mac programs, IPNR needs way too
much configuration for what should be an incredibly simple process - take
MacIP packets, and connect them to Ethernet. LocalTalk bridge does it for
AppleTalk with 4 radio buttons :(
I can't figure out where it's breaking. The lack of HD - AppleShare booting
- makes troubleshooting the IIgs side of things utterly painful, especially
when Samurai locks up the machine when it can't resolve a hostname.
Richard, refusing to admit defeat.
