I have a Cayman GatorBox CS (graciously loaned to me by Tim Haynes) running
the latest software available from this helpful webpage
http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~pcfe/Gatorbox/ as noted by Scott.

This box has an ethernet AUI port and a LocalTalk serial port. It provides
AppleTalk and MACIP routing.

On the IIgs you can use the phonenet style connectors (min-din to RJ-11) to
dasiy chain your serial devices. Install the Appletalk support from the
system disks and you should have Appletalk connectivity between supporting
devices.

Now to get IP going ...

If the box is freshly reloaded then you need to do some minimal
confiiguration to get MACIP setup. This includes assigning an IP address to
the GatorBox and either static range or a pool of addresses for Local talk
devices. I have a linksys router on which I logically set aside a few
addresses that are assigned on the GatorBox. You configure Marinetti to use
one of those addresses.

After that one can install and configure MACIP under Marinetti v3.0 running
on GS/OS to use the Gatorbox as LocalTalk to ethernet IP bridge.

The telnet app that ships with Marinetti can be used to verify connectivity

If anyone else has a Gatorbox and would like assistance in getting it going
like this I would be happy to help.

The issue I ran into and needed help on was that I blew away the config and
code on the unit and had forgotten when I setup the first GatorBox (last
year) that I had a direct connection to the LocalTalk port from a Mac that
had a serial port. I had since moved on to a newer B&W 450 Mac.
