The biggest problem is that there aren't that many apps.  telnet kinda-sorta
works...the biggest problem is that it doesn't support VT100 emulation.  At
one point, I had a termcap entry for my Linux box that had cursor control
mostly working (it appears to just pass incoming text to the 80-column
firmware, which allows a limited amount of control), but it was easier to
just fire up PuTTY on a Win32 box and ssh in.
