An accelerator would certainly speed things up with the Ramkeeper. My main IIgs with a 15mhz ZipGS and a ramfast SCSI card will do a 10 second shift boot. Unfortunately I don't have a Ramkeeper that'll work on a ROM 3 and don't want to move an accellerator over to a ROM 1 just to try this. A few years ago I did try out some 4gb 7200 rpm drives on a ramfast and a Hi-Speed SCSI and did get a slight decrease in boot time. Unfortunately I needed those drives for other purposes and couldn't leave them on the IIgs. I'm assuming the faster drives were able to feed the ramfast data as fast as it could handle it. I should likely reconsider that as used 4gb SCSI drives are pretty cheap nowadays. Wayne
