The hardware for an internal CF drive is fairly simple 
and I, and a friend, have designed it 3 different ways. 
The problem is the firmware must be incorporated into 
the main ROM and that is where we're busy trying to do 
it with MMCs. They only require a 4-bit interface so the 
firmware will be much smaller and easier to fit in. I'd 
be happy to help with any other projects working towards 
this, especially an external drive.  :o)
