Not likely. The expense and complexity of translating the logic and timing
from one controller to the other and back again would be technologically
impractical. You would need some kind of device in the middle to handle not
only the logic, but drive voltage. And what about DOS constraints and
rewriting utilities to use this custom setup? Your options on a ][+ are
severly limited.

I've met a few people who use HS SCSI card and a SCSI Zip drive on a //e
successfully.
