Did that a long time back. I even heard the pop when it blew the hole
in the 74LS125 and saw the smoke coming out of the floppy drive :-)

I replaced the 74LS125 and one of the other 3 chips. Either the MC3470
or ULN2003.

I've been more careful and haven't made that mistake since. Made lots
of others though.
