I'm currently using an old AT power supply. It's more than enough
power to run about 20 Apple //e boards. ;-)

The main networking code and most servers do not relay on
any ROM code.
The message server incorporates a "monitor" option to display
a histogram of the queue lengths of the first 22 message classes
on an attached display, and it uses a few monitor ROM routines
for text output.
The ROM boot routines use a couple of monitor ROM routines
for time delays and reading a paddle (for a board-unique ID).
(This is only reasonable, since the ROM boot resides in the CD
ROM of an unenhanced //e board.)
In short, there are few and trivial uses of the monitor ROM and
no use of the Applesoft ROM.
