I blew a 74LS125 on the Disk II analog board in this manner. After 
salvaging one from an IBM XT motherboard, the drive worked fine again.

See you can find chips with have been physically blown. On mine, the 
chip's surface actually had a *crater* in it, and you could see down to 
the actual remnants of the silicon chip itself!

I believe I saved the chip for posterity, but goddess knows where I put 
it. }:)
