A straight II? Your next step is to type "<Ctrl-C><Return>PR#6<Return>",
"C600G<Return>", or "6<Ctrl-P>".
(Whichever string you choose to use, change the "6" to whatever slot
you've got the drive card in if it isn't actually in slot 6)
Unless my memory is gone, you're describing a II behaving exactly as it
should, since it doesn't contain the "Autostart" ROMs that the II+ and
IIe have in them. Basically, it has no clue what to do at startup other
than falling into the monitor.
