I ran a IIe with original ROMs for nearly 5 years and spent nearly all of
that time in ProDOS. More recently, I've even run ProDOS on a 64K II+. If
it's not working for you, there are three possibilities I see:
- - corrupted boot disk
- - disk controller/disk drive problem
- - motherboard problem (maybe a RAM problem?)
There's no reason why ProDOS shouldn't run on your IIe, as long as
everything is in good working order.
