Re: Dead Apple IIc ?

Thanks, good advise, I will do that in this order. Since transport costs and
mains voltage are obstacles I will start looking in the Netherlands/Europe. I
did get the dead IIc also in the Netherlands for 25 euro so I hope I get lucky
again. The 65C02 cpu will be put to good use, it will be transferred to one of my 6502 SBCs! And the other parts will be kept as spares.
I am not sure what to do with the floppy drives. I will study the technical
manuals and determine what is damaged. I see a 74LS125 driving the interface to
the cpu, easy to replace. Also a ULN2003 on the board. I hope to have one of
the drives be usable again as external drive on another IIc , but I will only
connect any when I am completely sure about the health. .

If you have an Apple II with slots and a spare disk II card then you can
use the cable from a Disk II drive and try the IIc drive with the Disk
II card without risking another IIc
