Using the SuperSerial Card in AppleSoft

Hello All,

I have a ][+ and purely for the sake of getting to grips with my ][, I
wanted to see if it was possible to use AppleSoft to pop something onto my
SuperSerial card and get it to display it on my PC.

What i'm using:

	* Minicom terminal program on the Linux box
	* Apple SuperSerial card from a //e
	* Laplink Cable (is this a fully compatible null-modem cable?)

Method:
	* Looked at the Switch settings on
	  http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/~schmaus/elct/2ser.html
(dont know if i've set them right though).
 	* Tried to use PR#3 to output raw text

I believe I have set the card to 8N1, 9600bps. Applesoft sits and does
nothing when I have switch 1-5 set to 'on', but with it 'off', I simply
get returned to the AppleSoft prompt. What I'm hoping for is when the card
gets data (from PR#3 -- the card is in slot 3), it should output the data
typed on the keyboard to the serial card and finally to the screen on the
linux box. That isn't happening. Nothing much is.

Does anyone know if this is possible. If it is, does anyone know where I'm
going wrong?

Kindest Regards,

Alistair Ross
