I can't seem to understand why that would matter. As long as the head makes
contact with the cleaning disk it is working, right? Of course this
assumption has been made without an intimate knowledge of the mechanism of
Apple disk drives.
IIRC, the drive reads from the side of the disk that faces down when it is
in the drive. Can anyone confirm this?
