Last year I went to the Vintage Computer Festival in Mountain View (Bay area) and it drew a lot of people. The museum there is huge
and there were speakers, programming contests and everything. It might be tough to compete with them as they are having another show
last weekend in October. I'm not promoting the event but you might want to combine efforts and have one extremely large event.
