It does work in a II+, I'm using one in the II+ I have set up in
my livingroom.
If the batteries are dead or low then it won't run at all. It
doesn't run off the computers power when it's on unfortunately
which would save battery power. That's one thing I don't like
about the ThunderClock, it eats batteries. I converted mine to
run off a lithium battery
