They have a lot in common, but aren't identical. The fundamental
structure of HyperCard is the same on both platforms, and the HyperTalk
scripting language is the same, but each platform has some features
which aren't available on the other one.
IIgs HyperCard is probably closest to Mac HyperCard version 2.0 in terms
of features, with the addition of full support for colour. There are
some Mac HyperCard 2.x features which are missing from the IIgs version.
If your Mac HyperCard manual is from version 1.3 or earlier, it is
likely to be missing details on several features.
(I haven't used IIgs HyperCard for a long time, and I haven't used Mac
HyperCard recently, and never for anything particularly complex, so I
can't help much in specific details of the differences without referring
to the manuals.)
