As far as I know the demo disk you have will not have any other
executable program on it other than the demo.  This means that you
can't boot into Applesoft with it because BASIC.SYSTEM isn't on the
disk.  Even if it was, you'd need another utility to modify the disk
to get it to boot something else.

So you'll have to at least get some more bootable disks before you'll
be able to do that "one small trick".
