Yes, it would be ridiculous if all it gave you was a 6502.
This card gives you a 65802 which is a superior chip.
Maybe the subject line should say "16-bit 6502 upgrade" instead
of "16-bit 6502 replacement", even if the design doesn't provide
possibility to take advantage of *all* the 65816 features AFAIU.
Btw, how common is it that the CPU breaks down in an old computer,
arcade game or otherwise? From what I've understood, it is custom
chips and maybe memory chips that seem to die first.
