I have been using Oasis and it supports COMM card in the version I am
using. NOT the SS card. I talk to serial devices all of the time
through Oasis. had trouble using AppleWin and ApplePC. could not get
it to work.

yes. oasis uses the comm port settings on your PC. go to the device
manager (right click my computer, properties), and view the properties
of the com port you are using. change it to the correct values.

a serial cable is a serial cable. rs232

neat!

what language is the TOPO sofware written in ? BASIC? Assembly? you
may be able to change the values of the serial port address, and make
the program work with an emulator that supports some other type of
serial card.
