According to 'AppleDesign: the Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group"
(Paul Kunkel, Apple Computer Inc., 1997) :
"Wozniak spent six months designing his own computer with all the components
on a single board using a new microprocessor made by Motorola called the
6800.
Beginning in October 1975, Wozniak spent more thean 40 hours with Steve Jobs
in March 1976 building and testing that first prototype."
Therefore according to the book, Apple had used the 6800 from the beginning.
Apparently the book is in error- but why would Apple deliberately alter
their own history?
